Much of the time when we focus on our lives sucking, there’s usually a legit reason that they might be sucking at the time.
Perhaps we’re in a job we don’t like.
Perhaps we’re just not making the kind of money that we want to make.
Perhaps we don’t have enough time in our lives to enjoy or do the things we want to do.
There are a myriad of reasons people encounter pain and want to change.
But what about when things are going great and you still feel like they suck?
There isn’t too much information on that out there but I find it to be more common than we think.
You’ve got the great job.
You have all the time in the world to do whatever you wish.
You even have the money to afford the things that might excite you.
But for some reason you’re not happy. You’re not satisfied. And ultimately, you don’t feel fulfilled?
You have a seemingly great life and yet it doesn’t feel great.
How in the hell do you tackle that one?
Unfortunately there are no right answers on this one but I can tell you from experience, you’ve got to try.
And by trying I mean literally force yourself to look at it. You need to do whatever you can do to alter your course.
I find that most people who have what appear to be great lives and don’t feel that way are usually either bored or not challenged enough.
So you’ve either got to get out of that comfort zone and try new things, or try things that are more challenging.
What sucks about this is that there’s really no other way.
If you don’t break the cycle, it’ll never be broken. It’s very similar to “refocusing” which is literally changing an activity to “shut down and reboot” your brain.
When you don’t feel satisfied in what should be a satisfying life, you usually need some kind of reset.
What that reset is will be up to you to sort out.
