We Need To Get Physical From Time To Time

In the immortal words of Olivia Newton-John: Let’s Get Physical. I work on the computer and sit on my ass for probably 10 to 12 hours a day. Most of you reading this sit on your asses for 10 to 12 hours a day. And then you’re lying on your back or stomach asleep for another six to eight hours a day. So when the hell are you getting physical?

Probably not too often

And I’m not telling you to do it all the time, but we were not made to sit on a chair and stare at screens all day, Despite that, it’s what most of us do and it’s also what I do. But let me just make a small suggestion: get physical. Hit something, kick a ball, swing a hammer.

Use an axe and cut some wood, just something, anything. And I’m not talking about exercise. Yeah, we have to do that. We need to stay healthy, Walk your 30 minutes a day. Do your push-ups, Do your weights. Do whatever it is you got to do. I’m talking about getting to our roots, getting into our nature.

Walk up a mountain. Put your hand on a rock.  Feel some moss for Christ’s sake! Get some dirt on you. Just do something physical. That’s all I got. That’s all I have to say. I’m not going to sing it but “Let’s Get Physical.”
