Wait a Minute, That’s All You Have to Do?

Whenever I come up with a plan for a client, 9 times out of 10 the client will be thinking “wait a sec, that’s it?”

They’ll always ask more questions.  Seek out more “secrets.”  Try to figure out some other angle that maybe I didn’t bring up.

It’s because often times simplicity just doesn’t make sense to people.

They think that in order to be successful there have to be some kind of complex, original formula that no one’s heard of.

That couldn’t be further from the truth.

When I ask the question, “do you know how my sites get 6 million visits a month?” my answer is always the same.

I post a ton of valuable content every single day, and I’ve been doing it for nearly 14 years.  That’s it.  That is ALL.

Sure there are nuances to my industry.

Of course I know a lot of technical things.

But that never, ever trumps my main objective:  Posting valuable content day after day after day, year after year after year.

It ain’t sexy but it works.

So whenever I lay out a plan with my clients, it’s rarely bigger than 3 or 4 main things I want them to focus on.

The key is doing it again and again and again making whatever adjustments needed along the way.

Those that stick it out and never let anything get in their way of paying attention to the priority tasks are the ones who make it.
