Stop Telling Me “I Don’t Have the Time”

Perhaps one of my least favorite phrases in the entire world is “I don’t have the time.”

Of course you have the time.

You’re telling me you can’t take 10 seconds out of your day to respond to an email or a text?

“I’ve been too busy.”  No you haven’t.  You just haven’t prioritized jack shit in your life.

Sorry, but you need to hear this.

It’s not that you don’t have time.  It’s how you’re using your time.  Here’s how I use my time every single day.

Let’s use my daily “to do list” as an example:

  • Sleep for 8 hours every single night
  • Take a one hour nap every single day
  • Manage 9 websites that put out nearly 50 pieces of content per day
  • Post twice a day to Linkedin (1 video, 1 text), respond to every comment and DM, engage with other posts
  • Run a coaching business
  • Post daily to my Youtube channel
  • Post for my daily newsletter and personal website
  • 300 push ups daily
  • Be a husband to my wife
  • Be a father to my two boys (8 and 4, home nearly 24 hours a day because of COVID)
  • Stay in touch with family and friends

And I still manage to go on vacation, go out to dinners (before COVID), go to the gym (before COVID), watch my favorite TV shows and movies, read books, and play piano.  And let’s not forget that yeah, I go to the bathroom, I eat, and I do all the other things that humans do.  It’s a fairly large amount in 24 hours but it gets done and with no excuses.

Still think you don’t have enough time?  Think again.

You need to not only find ways to make time but you also need to get way better at being productive.  You need to not only free up time but you must also make the most of the time that you have.

If it’s taking you 8 hours to do what should be taking you 2 hours to do, that’s a major problem that needs to be addressed.

So how do you actually get this stuff done?

Well, I’m glad you asked.

This is what I do.  This is my specialty.  I’m a productivity machine and perhaps it’s time we talk.
