It normally takes me a very short period of time to come up with a topic to write about.
I’ll think about something that happened either to me or that I read about and just riff on it making sure I have a point at the end.
That’s typically how I format a lot of my content.
But today I hit a major stumbling block.
While I don’t like to get political in nearly any arena, what happened in DC left me speechless.
But it wasn’t only speechless, it was thoughtless.
I literally couldn’t think of much other than the events that occurred.
And as much as I hated to think about them, that’s exactly where I was supposed to be.
So instead of trying to come up with some topic or lesson, I guess my lesson is that sometimes silence is the best noise.
I think the best course of action at this point in time is to just let my thoughts brew.
To not say anything.
To not even do anything….yet.
To simply take as long as it takes for my mind to return itself to its normal state.
When I’m ready to be “me” again, I’ll be ready.
