“It is Better to Aim High and Miss than to Aim Low and Hit”

If you’ve never read this quote before it’s a great one that got me fired up today.

The great Les Brown once said “it is better to aim high and miss than to aim low and hit.”

There are so many ways to interpret this quote but here’s how I’m looking at it today.

And by the way just because I’m looking at it in this light today doesn’t mean I won’t have a different interpretation tomorrow.

When I think of this quote I think of being able to look myself in the eye at the end of the day.

And at the end of that day I must ask myself a question:  “Did you do everything you could do today to live your ideal life?”

If the answer is yes, then I’ll know I constantly aimed high, pushed myself, and tried to get the most out of myself that I could.

If that answer is no, I likely aimed way too low, didn’t push myself, and will never get the results I think I should be getting.

How often are you saying “yes” as opposed to “no?”
