Drafted by the St. Louis Rams to convert to a wide receiver, the former Huskers star had every intention of proving he could play QB in the NFL. Problem was, he never was given a fair shot, and, because of that, wound up out of the league due to injuries and playing out of position. He was able to play a few seasons with various leagues around the world—like NFL Europe, CFL, the AAFL and the UFL—but is now a college football analyst. It’s a shame, because the dude was magical running the option while at Nebraska.
