Tim Tebow Still Believes in Himself and Won’t Give Up on His NFL Dream

While touring in Nashville with the SEC Network for the 2014 season, Tim Tebow was asked about what he thought about his chances of landing a spot on an NFL team anytime soon. Tebow’s response: he’s training to play, he wants to play, and he still believe in himself.

“I’m training every day and feel like I’m the best that I’ve ever been,” Tebow said. “I still love it, love playing, talking about it, and I’m just excited about whatever the future holds. Who knows what could happen? But I’m excited about it, though.”

Unfortunately, things don’t look too good for Tebow and his dream. The last time he started a game at quarterback was back in 2011. He last completed a pass on Nov. 18, 2012. If Tebow doesn’t find a spot on an NFL team before the start of the 2014-15 season, that would be over two years without any NFL playing time. If that’s the case, Tebow could simply end up being a college football announcer for the rest of his life.

I might be in the minority here but I’m actually a fan of Tim Tebow and am really hoping that the best happens for him. He seems like an overall good guy who does a lot for the communities that he’s a part of. What’s not to like about someone like that?

The issue with Tebow, however, is that if he wants to fully realize his desire of playing in the NFL, he has to let go of the idea of him being a starting quarterback. If Tebow trained himself to be a fullback or even a tight-end and practiced extremely hard, with his size and speed, he would excel and be an asset to any NFL team. At this point, the only way that I see Tebow making it back into the league is if he switches positions. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for him.
