Jimmy Fallon, Crosby, Stills, and Nash Perform Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy”

Jimmy Fallon

Whether you’re a big fan of him or not, you’ve got to admit that Jimmy Fallon does a pretty awesome job of getting celebrities to do some pretty bizarre things on The Tonight Show with him. Last night’s newest victims were Crosby, Stills, and Nash, who, along with a Neil Young-impersonating Jimmy Fallon, performed a pretty fantastic rendition of Iggy Azalea’s song of the summer “Fancy.”

As I mentioned in the paragraph above, Fallon is no stranger to having celebrities come onto his show with him to perform wacky skits, songs, or games. In just the past few months alone, he’s had Chris Christie join him to show the off the history and evolution of “Dad Dancing,” Emma Stone duel against him in a lip syncing competition, and Indina Menzel collaborate with him and the Roots for a pretty awesome rendition of “Let It Go” from Frozen, using only kid instruments from a classroom. So the fact that he somehow convinced Crosby, Stills, and Nash to actually appear and sing “Fancy” with him doesn’t shock me at all. It doesn’t even surprise me in the slightest, to be honest.

What did impress me and surprise me in the video, however, was Jimmy Fallon’s pretty spot-on Neil Young impersonation. I’ve definitely seen clips of Fallon impersonating Young and other famous musicians on his show before, but his voice was just so similar to his throughout the entire song that if you close your eyes while the video is playing, you can almost make yourself believe that it’s the real Neil Young singing to you. Check out the video below for yourself.
