Five Things The Miami Heat Should Not Do in the Offseason

Keep the same bench players

Rashard Lewis, Michael Beasley, Toney Douglas – all bench players that the Miami Heat could let go.  It’s simply the fact that they’ve never really found their rhythm in Miami, even a guy like Douglas who got so much more playing time in April when he had to fill in for Dwayne Wade was never truly in sync with the Heat’s offense. Lackluster play, in addition to age issues (Lewis is 35) and attitude problems (Beasley’s lack of motivation caused him to lose Erik Spoelestra’s trust), indicates that the Heat will want to restructure the bench this offseason.
