10 Toughest Baseball Players of All Time

"Beacher's Madhouse" Show at Hard Rock Hotel

Pete Rose

Pete Rose’s uniform was never clean after a game – it was always filthy, covered in dirt and grass stains from his countless slides into into second and third base or a diving play he made out in the field. Day in and day out, Rose always played the game hard. The moment that best captures Rose’s hard-nosed attitude ┬áis an easy pick – the 1970 All Star Game. In a tie game in the 12th inning, Rose barreled over catcher Ray Fosse, winning the game for the National League and injuring both Fosse and himself. It’s a play that is still constantly talked about today.
