The Five Richest Stand Up Comedians of All-Time

"The Motherf**cker With The Hat" Broadway Opening Night - Arrivals & Curtain Call

Stand up comedy is a hard business to break into. If you are funny and have a slew of good jokes that you can rattle off on a nightly basis, that doesn’t mean you’ll be a successful comedian, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll be making a decent amount of money. Ultimately, being a stand up comedian is a gateway into other fields: acting, writing, or even directing or producing. That’s where comedians can really get the money that they desire and become richer than the Joe Schmo telling jokes at the Comedy Club every other Friday night. Here’s a list of the five richest stand up comedians of all-time. (Warning: Louis C.K. is unfortunately not on this list.)
