Now That’s a Fan Celebration

Published by under Sports,Video

Remember when Carmelo Anthony had a game winning shot against the Grizzlies about a month ago?   What you didn’t see on television were these Knicks fans who were at the game.

Needless to say this reaction is legendary.

6 Injury Plagued NBA Players Whose Careers Came Up Short

Published by under Sports

There are a ton of “what if’s” in every single sport.   You just never know what kind of player a person could have been had this not happened or that not happened.   Usually the what if scenarios come in the form of injuries that prevented said player from achieving the potential they could have achieved.

It kind of sucks to talk about but a debate is a debate.   So anyway, here are 6 NBA players whose careers will or have come up short….

The Best In Game Dunkers of All Time

Published by under Sports

There are plenty of high flying dunkers out there in high school, college, and of course the NBA.  However, just because a guy can win the dunk contest doesn’t necessarily mean that he’ll woo the crowd in a game.   Granted there’s definitely a correlation between some guys who can bring it in a game and those who can get creative in a contest,  there are certainly some dudes who were born for dunking in games.

Here are what I consider to be the best eight in game dunkers of all time….

Five Potential Replacments for NFL Sunday

Published by under Editorial,Sports

As many of you know this whole NFL debacle doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon.  I’m not going to sit here and comment on it all.   The league makes a ton of money and I won’t say which side is greedy and which side sucks and all that.   I think the bottom line here is that we want the league to continue and fans want to see football.

But in the event these two sides can’t come to an agreement what in the hell are we to do on Sundays?  I mean there’s no way in hell that I’m going shopping on Sundays now.

I’m sure they’ll think of something but in the mean time here are some real ideas for NFL Sunday’s replacement….

Five Absurd Blake Griffin In Game Dunks This Season

Published by under Sports

As we all know, Blake Griffin pretty much tore it up at this year’s dunk contest.   I mean the things he did were certainly comparable to the likes on Dwight Howard, another big man who stunned the crowd.   As many reporters put it, “Blake Griffin is scary.”

Seriously, the dunks this guy pulls are literally frightening.   What’s even scarier is the fact this this guy is coming off of major surgery.  And what’s even freakier is the fact that he can pull these dunks in games.

In fact I will argue that it’s his in game dunks that are the most exciting.  Here are five I know you’ll love….

Six Memorable Moments in Tennis Fans

Published by under Sports

The sport of tennis is a sport that is considered one of the “higher class” sports.  Like golf, it requires its fans to be courteous and respectful to the players and their concentration.  In fact, fans are required to be quite while play is going on.

So to see the kinds of crazy acts that one might find at a football, baseball, hockey, or even soccer game is a little out of the ordinary.  But these things do happen.

And I just happen to have six memorable moments of fan interference in tennis….

Six Weird Sports You Might Not Know Exist

Published by under Sports

If there’s one area in the world that can always be improved upon and shaped it’s athletics.   Sure we have our major popular sports in the world but people are always coming up with new ways to test our skill and endurance.

Some of these new sports work and some of them are pretty ridiculous.  I think you’ll find a little bit of both in this list.

Here are six sports you might not have heard of…..

On Your Marks, Get Set, Ummmm Nope

Published by under Sports,Video

Honestly we’ve all seen crashes in races of all types.  Hell we’ve seen horses fall, humans fall, cars crash, you name it.  But have you ever seen something as synchronized as this BMX fail?  I personally haven’t.

It’s pretty glorious.

Seven Memorable Tour De France Crashes

Published by under Sports

If there’s one event that I have to admit doesn’t get much play here in the states it’s the Tour De France.  And rightfully so.  You have to admit it’s pretty damned boring.  It’s dudes riding bikes for over 2 weeks.  How is that even remotely fun to watch?

Sure I guess it’s fun to talk about Lance Armstrong side stories and all but other than that I think it’s kind of useless.  What isn’t useless and what’s entertaining are all the crashes we don’t see.  That’s right, don’t see.   At least make the crashes public will ya?

Well, here are seven that you may not have seen…..
