Piper’s Pit: Jesse “The Body” Ventura

Published by Natty under Piper's Pit

Are you kidding me?  Check out the Buckwheat shirt!  Jesse Ventura’s fashion sense was unmatched.   Call me crazy but I feel like this interview took place when Piper was a good guy.

And if there was ever a mistake in the WWF, it was when Piper was a good guy.  His pit appearances just didn’t carry any weight as a good guy.  Calling people rednecks and being a racist were all part of the wonder that is now the WWE.

Piper’s Pit: The Infamous Coconut with Jimmy Snuka

Published by Natty under Piper's Pit

Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka was definitely one of my favorite wrestlers of all time but I gotta say the whole wearing a skirt thing always ticked me off.  And if it weren’t for the skirt and this particular incident I would have way more respect for the guy.

Just listen to how Piper keeps saying “coconuuuuts.”  It’s amazing.

What’s even more amazing is that Snuka is still wrestling.  I’m not even joking.

Piper’s Pit: Andre the Giant Doesn’t Like to Speak

Published by Natty under Piper's Pit

I can’t even begin to tell you how awesome Andre’s hair is.  Oh and by the way, one of the things that the cameramen never did on the Piper show was pan out to the audience.

Well in this video you get a chance to see some of these crowds.  Boy are they incredible.  It’s looks just like the infield at a Nascar race.  You gotta pause the video at least once just to examine the “element” in this place.

Other than that, Piper, is of course magnificent.

Hillbilly Jim on Piper’s Pit

Published by Natty under Piper's Pit, Video of the Day

Welcome to the second edition of Piper’s Pit.  I don’t know why but I feel like Piper’s Pit is almost the equivalent to All in the Family or something.  If you really think about it, the stuff that Piper pulled on this show is kind of like what Archie Bunker used to do.

A ton of stereotyping and a total disregard for human feelings.  Listen to Piper as Jim walks onto the stage.  I laughed my ass off when he did the little twangy banjo type song.

Priceless.
