This is What the NBA Needs: A Little of the Legend

Published by under NBA,Sports

Since when did the NBA go so damned soft?  Ever since the Ron Artest incident refs have been keeping this game from getting as competitive as it once was.

Let these guys play, and let them get physical.  Oh and by the way, I could write a 16 page article on Larry Bird.  It’s really a joke how good this guy was.  Zero athletic ability and no physique.  This guy was all heart, all brains, and all out clutch.

His skills were absolutely ridiculous.  As they say, there will be another Michael, there will be another Magic, but there will never be another Larry Bird.  I believe that.

Perhaps it’s Time For the NBA To Push For the Tattoo Cap Again: NBA Tattoos are Getting Out of Control

Published by under NBA,Sports

NBA Tattoos

This story didn’t make that much of a splash but I think it’s pretty funny.  Back in February the NBA pushed for a tattoo cap stemming on the heels of the dress code implementation to reduce the “hip-hop” culture. that the NBA was turning into.

Call me crazy but I think the players are rebelling even more now than ever.  Have you seen the amount of tattoos on necks now?  Are the players running out of real estate on their bodies?

As if 20 tattoos on your forearm isn’t enough you have to get something like “Black Jesus” on your neck (Amare Stoudemire)?  I know there’s been articles done on tattoos in the NBA before but it’s amazing that the players I’m about to show have even more tattoos than they used to.

Here are some pictures guys Continue Reading »

I Swear I did the Best I Could: 10 Hottest WNBA Players (As Long As They’re Done up)

Published by under NBA,Sports

Hot WNBA Players

I’m going to go on record in saying this list took me well over an hour to compile.  And considering the long list of hot athletes there are in all sports combined, and how fast I could find them, that makes this WNBA hottie list an eternity of wasted minutes.

I was so damned tempted to go the NCAA route because there are plenty in there (Alesha Robertson is up there).   However, I stuck to my guns to provide a valuable service to you guys.  If you are in the rare position of having to actually watch a WNBA game then this list might be of service.

Here are 10 WNBA players that I would actually consider to be reasonably attractive in their going out clothes.

10 Questions I’d Like the Answers to in the NBA This Year

Published by under NBA

NBA Questions

I think I might be one of the few people left in this country who still has an interest in the NBA.  Maybe it’s because I played hoops as a kid and still enjoy the hell out of it.  Maybe it’s because there will always be a spectacular play we haven’t seen.

Or maybe because in the last few years it’s turned into such a circus that the NBA is now sheer entertainment and I don’t mind it in the least?

In any event, I am looking forward to the season (mainly because I want to see how Greg Oden does).  But there are certainly some questions I need answered.  I’ll try my best to answer them, but you the readers are always a help….

Got 45 Minutes to Kill? One of the Best Sports Videos Ever: Dazzling Dunks and Basketball Bloopers

Published by under NBA

Michael Jordan

I’m sharing this video is for both the new generation of basketball fan and nostalgic guys like me.  It’ s a reminder about all that was great in the game.  When I was a kid, the 80′s were the supreme time for basketball.  Scoring was high, and you had perhaps the greatest rivalry in the history of sports:  Lakers vs. Celtics.

P.S. Michael Jordan was his “Come Fly with Me” self back then.  So far all you guys that didn’t get a taste of one of my favorite times for basketball, sit back and watch how amazing this video is (It’s split into five parts).

Frank Layden and Marv Albert are……Uncoached.

These Guys Are Pretty Slick: My Picks for the 5 Best Dressed NBA Basketball Players of All Time

Published by under Editorial,NBA

Walt Frazier

Walt Frazier definitely paved the way for slickness in the NBA

I decided to pay homage to some of the better dressed guys that I’ve seen in the NBA over my years.

Some guys prance around in jeans and gold chains. While that is certainly their right, I’m pretty sure that if I were to create a league of my own, these are the guys I’d want representing me.

Lebron Loses in a Game of H-O-R-S-E

Published by under NBA,Sports

I assume that dunking from the foul line was not permitted but you gotta hand it to white boy David Kalb.

Well good for you David. Lebron will take his gold medal and 100 mil, and you get to go home and be completely forgotten about.

Or maybe not! I hope this guy David gets on Letterman.

We Are the New York Knicks!….City Dancers Gone Partying

Published by under NBA

Knicks City Dancers

I always knew that the boredom of how bad the Knicks have been would probably get to more than just the fans. It would appear that years of loss and heartache have caused some of these Knicks City Dancers to get a little more “free” when it comes to hitting the bottle and hitting the click button on their cameras.

But who am I to complain? It’s torture enough to have to see these ladies do splits in the air. Now I have to contend with the fact they’re just normal chicks, go home with normal guys and on the right night all of us would have a decent shot?

If you don’t think so, check out some of these pictures. I’m pretty sure most any guy could have pulled one of these girls on these nights.

Imagine This Guy Was on Your High School Basketball Team

Published by under NBA,Sports

Are you kidding me?

Seriously guys. This is a joke. I’m a white Jewish kid from Long Island. I grew up playing pick up games and love basketball. I’d play for hours on end. And of course as I got older I would play constantly at the JCC or Jewish Y as some might refer to it.

Hell I even play a little ball in the adult arena from time to time. But can you even fathom your short, skinny, terribly skilled Jewish ass on the same court with the likes of Vince Carter when he was 16-17 years old? I mean it’s a joke, simply put.

You’re 45-50 years old, you want to see your son play in the Easy Valley High Tournament and on walks this 6-7 guy who can basically jump over your son’s entire body? It’s almost comical. Here’s to the glory days Vince.
