So What’s Sammy Sosa Up to These Days? Well I Know Where He Was in the Summer of 2006

Published by under MLB,Sports

Sammy Sosa

Apparently some major league scouts were on a Dominican Republic Mission trip over the summer to find new talent.  Amongst that talent was the kid you see above.  Rumor has it he kept saying that he was Sammy Sosa.  And that begs the question, where is good old Sammy Sosa these days anyway?

For the life of me I have no idea.   But I did manage to come across two types of pictures I happened to enjoy.  The first one is located here.   It’s from a random Spring Break album located on Webshots.  What makes it significant is that the caption on the picture reads “Sammy Sosa before he got all creepo on us.”

The second on is a picture taken with his wife.  Man she is hot.

Derek Jeter Not Allowed to Play Ball with the Other Kids

Published by under MLB

Jeter

Poor Guy.  All Derek Jeter wanted to do was play some pick up baseball with the neighborhood kids.  So he went home, put on his uniform, got all excited and tried to rush out onto the field only to be stopped by the fence.

And to his dismay, that fence was locked.   That or he was in the middle of a photo shoot down in Florida getting paid more money for something.

I kind of like the idea of him getting kicked out of a neighborhood stickball game much better though.

A Newer and Fatter David Ortiz? Check out Yamil Ortiz

Published by under MLB,News

Ortiz

I just stumbled across this picture a few minutes ago.  It’s at some Luxury Day event for Auto Detailing or something or other.  I’m assuming it’s some kind of showcase for cars.   The picture was taken on February 9th and the caption reads “Yamil Ortiz y David Ortiz.”

A cousin?  A son?  Who is this kid?  I feel like we may have the second coming of a Prince Fielder situation in our midst.  I mean this kid definitely eats a lot of pork.

And what was David Ortiz doing there?  From the rest of the pictures he seemed to be the only famous person there.  Oh wait, I know why he was there.

Check it out after the jump

I’d Like to Introduce you all to the Google Image Yuri Sucart

Published by under MLB,News,Sports

Yuri

The cousin Alex Rodriguez would not identify while addressing his performance enhancing drugs use on Tuesday has been identified as Yuri Sucart, according to an ESPN report.

Rodriguez admitted he and a cousin experimented with a drug popular in the Dominican Republic. The Yankee slugger said the two would inject “boli,” as described by Rodriguez, approximately twice a month during three seasons of his career.

I can only imagine that it will be a matter of time before the videos and pictures of Yuri Sucart and his wife Carmen start flying in.  However, I found it pretty interesting when I typed in “Yuri Sucart” into google images and the above picture came up.

I mean this dude is in shape, looks to be around 40, and definitely has a meterosexual A-Rod vibe to him.  In case you are wondering, the man in this photo is Charles Colaw who runs “Body By Colaw,” a personal training service.

I don’t have any proof but rumor has it that Colaw is also someone who would do anything for his cousin.

Teammates Will Join A-Rod at First Press Conference: Awwwwww

Published by under MLB,News,Sports

A-Rod

From Yahoo:

Alex Rodriguez will hold a news conference today at 1:30 p.m. EST at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Fla. A-Rod is due to appear under the tent behind the third-base stands to address his admission last week that he used banned drugs. The Yankees still didn’t know how many specifics of his drug use Rodriguez planned to divulge. “I don’t think it’s necessary in my eyes that he answer every detail,” manager Joe Girardi said Monday.

15 of Baseball’s Most Obvious Steroid Users as Garbage Pail Kids

Published by under MLB,Sports

Got Juice

Now ladies and gentlemen, I must say that I am not wise in the ways of photoshop.  So this article is going to serve a few purposes.  The first and most obvious:  mocking some of MLB’s most obvious steroid users by giving them Garbage Pail Kids Names.  The second purpose?

I want you guys to send in your best photoshops for this article and I will repost it with the correct pictures.  Put it this way, if there were some kind of new baseball card taken in the format of Garbage Pail kids wouldn’t you at least be curious?  I know I would.

That is why I’d taken these 15 players and given them appropriate names.  Funny too, I know exactly what I’d want the pictures to look like.  I’m just horrible at photoshop.

Oh well, enjoy the names

20 Pictures Of the Hottest Phillies Fans Who Would Have Been Great To Celebrate With Last Night

Published by under MLB

Hot Phillies Fans

A warm congratulations to the Philadelphia Phillies for winning the world series last night.  And as much as I love to think about all the trials and tribulations of a team overcoming whatever it is they had to overcome to win the championship, I’m somehow always distracted.

Distracted by what you might ask?  Well let’s just say as soon as I saw Brad Lidge closing out the game, I started to think about the amount of hot chicks wearing Phillies gear who must have been at that game.

So naturally I decided to find my own collection of pictures of hot girls wearing Phillies gear.  There are one or two pics with no Phillies gear, but believe me, they’re Phillies fans.

It’s Cold in Philly but Here are Two Colder World Series Moments

Published by under MLB

World Series

Anyone who has been watching the World Series knows that the weather has been total crap in Philadelphia.  Even light snow has been called for lately.   What us citizens don’t comprehend is how much harder this makes the game.  Sure we might understand that the ball gets a little slick when it’s wet.

However, think about a 95 MPH Fastball making contact with a bat when it’s this cold.  Can you imagine how much this must hurt a batter’s hands?  Even a zipping throw from third base has got to hurt the 1B’s Mitt.

So that got me thinking:  What other occurrences in World Series history had foul weather like this?  Since MLB weather on started being recorded in the 70′s, there are two horrible weather World Series moments that come to mind

Quote of the Month: Matt Stairs After Hitting his Blast Against the Dodgers on Monday Night

Published by under MLB

Stairs

“Not that I don’t feel like I’m part of the team, but when you get that nice celebration coming in the dugout and you’re getting your ass hammered by guys, there’s no better feeling than to have that done.” –Matt Stairs

I don’t think a comment is even necessary.  You just can’t write stuff like this.
