As I watched Derek Lowe dismantle the Phillies lineup last night (and then nearly soil myself because I have Mike Gonzalez on my fantasy team), I realized something kind of obvious that I had realized before.  The man looks a hell of a lot like Steven Seagal.

Other than Lowe getting a haircut and looking a bit cleaned up, you can’t deny that both of these guys kind of have that eskimo face look.  I don’t know Lowe’s antics off the field or if he’s some kind of monk, but I would really love to see both of these guys on camera together.

Mainly just to watch Seagal punch someone in the face who looks just like him and say something along the lines of “I don’t have a brother, f&^k you for telling me you’re my brother.”

Hey don’t get me wrong, I’m a big fan of The Onion, but where do they get off making their logo look virtually the same as the sign for the Republic of Iran?  Actually now that I think about it, it seems pretty logical that the sordid minds of those that created The Onion would do such a thing.

Well, it’s that or they just wanted something that looked like an onion.   Either way, I really don’t care.  Point is, there are tons of logos, objects, signs, you name it, that look like everyday things that we simply overlook.

It’s not necessarily about what two people look like.  Sometimes it’s about when an object or imaginary character looks like a human.  This is what I like about the site Totally Looks Like.  Each day users submit photos of known people or objects that seems to look much like other known people or objects.

And it doesn’t necessarily mean they look alike at all times.  What it does mean is that at a specific moment in time, two of these entities might just hold the same visual characteristics.

I’ve taken 10 that I found to be interesting.

Given the Khloe Kardashian, Chyna comparison from yesterday, I figured it was high time to check out one of my favorite sites, Totallylookslike again.  I decided to take a look in order to find another 10-15 solid look-alike shots.

While some of them are kind of crappy, the site did not fail.  It’s amazing to me how alike some people really do look the same.  I kind of wish I had someone out there who looked exactly like me.  It’s just too bad the Greek God Adonis isn’t around for us to see in person.

Ba dum ching!  Actually I look exactly like the host from Beauty and the Geek.  And I’m not even joking.   It’s very freaky.

OK, we all know about the naked PETA ad by now right?  Khloe is gaining all this attention because of this thing.  First of all, it was the wrong Kardashian to be doing this modeling altogether.  Second of all that leads me to the question of the week.

When did Khloe get off the roids?

Oh my bad, that’s former wrestler Chyna AKA Joanie Laurer.   The resemblance is ludicrous.

Is it even remotely possible to find a better look-alike for Kevin Kline than this guy?  There’s no way.  There’s absolutely no way.  This has to be Kevin Kline right?  It has to be.

I’ve gotta say this might be one of the best calls I’ve ever made.  If it weren’t for the fact that I posted those three Youtube “Pro Wrestling: Then and Now” clips this never would have happened.  That and the fact that The Goonies is on every 16 minutes.

And as soon as I saw Mama Fratelli (Anne Ramsey), I put two and two together.  Unfortunately Ramsey passed away in 1988 but her legacy will live on with Greg “The Hammer” Valentine (AKA John Wisniski).  His last known appearance was at Ric Flair’s Retirement Ceremony in March of 2008.

Valentine is currently retired but I hope to God he winds up wrestling again in some crappy little town like most of the old guys do.  He was the man that made the figure four viable in the WWF.  Valentine is a legend as far as I’m concerned.

But unfortunately he really looks like Mama Fratelli.

I’m a huge fan of spotting look alikes and I had even considered making an entire website dedicated to the subject.  Well, the folks over at I Can Cheezburger beat me to it with their website totallylookslike.

Each day users submit tons of potential look alike photos from around the web.  The admins then pick the best ones and post them each day for users to comment on.  I have to say that some of them are incredibly accurate.

I decided to scour through and find 10 human/non-human combinations that were pretty damned accurate.  FYI, most of these people don’t totally look like their non human counterparts at all times.

However, in these pictures they sure as hell do.

Now I know that Bob Costas has been compared to Mark Hamill in the past. Costas’s boyish looks and charm do in fact remind me of a young Skywalker. So in all honesty there’s nothing new there.

By the way I’m a little pissed that I have zero computer skills, otherwise I’d do an amazing photoshop Costas/Skywalker picture. Back to the subject. With all of this knowledge as to how much these two look alike, I’m kind of bummed that there’s no feature on this during the Olympics.

Can’t someone come up with a nice little 5 minute parody and have Costas waving his light sabre? It would give us something more entertaining than him talking with Mary Carillo who made fun of his height.
