Boston Bruins Reunite Military Son with His Parents

Published by under Hockey,Video

No crazy weird Japanese WTF videos today. Rather, I thought you would appreciate something from the heart of America. At a recent Boston Bruins game, they decided to publicly reunite a soldier returning from Afghanistan to his parents who were at the game.

They had no idea he was coming, and as such the surprise aspect of it makes for an incredibly touching video. Be sure to watch the whole thing for yourself.

Presenting you With Ice Girls of the NHL

Published by under Beautiful Ladies,Hockey

NHL Ice Girls

I’ve expressed my distaste for hockey in the past and I still feel it’s a pretty boring sport with the exception of the fighting.   However I must admit that hockey has taken some major strides in the areas of cheerleading and ice cleaning.

They’ve managed to somehow combine the two.  The emergence of “Ice Girls” has been nothing but refreshing and I for one would considering attending a hockey game nowadays.

And if it’s solely to watch girls shovel ice and clean stuff wearing slutty outfits then so be it.  The league’s got to improve and clearly this is a great start.

Check out various Ice Girls of the NHL after the jump

Nine-Year-Old Kid Scores Amazing Goal on Fat Goalie

Published by under Hockey

I mean that’s just silly. Seriously.  I’m not a huge fan of the NHL but good God that was sick.  I have an idea.  And it’s a realistic idea.  There should be some kind of penalty shot show.  Or even a penalty shot halftime.

I think that would definitely draw some interest.  Seriously guys.  Because in all honesty if there were more scoring (and fighting) in hockey we might have a marketable product on our hands here.

Anyone?  Anyone?

I Don’t Know about You Guys, But I’m pumped for NCAA Women’s Hockey

Published by under Hockey,NCAA

She looks hot to me, and that’s all that I care about.

I’m sure all of you are very interested to know that “The University of Minnesota Duluth women’s hockey team has announced two signings declaring their intent to remain in the championship hunt for the 2008-2009 season.” CSTV Reports that ” The Bulldogs have inked forward Pernilla Winberg and defenseman Jenni Asserholt from Team Sweden.”

Actually I’m not really sure I care at all. What I have realized is how amazing it would be if there were hot women hockey players. Think about it. A female hockey player is a true tough girl. Can you imagine how a collegiate athlete would handle you? Forget the slashing and hooking, I’d really love to get in the penalty box with some of them.

That’s the new game folks. Finding hot NCAA Women’s hockey players. Who is that number 4 girl on Wisconsin? Her name is Mikka Nordby. I’m a big fan (at least from my one or two pictures). Come on WCHA!

Uncoached Loss – AHL Goalie Makes 98 Saves and Still Loses

Published by under Hockey,Sports

Albany River Rats

I know that I have been an anti hockey guy, and despite the fact that I think it’s kind of boring, hockey still makes for decent story lines. And where better than the American Hockey League (AHL)?

Up in Albany, the River Rats lost to the Philadelphia Phantoms by a score of 3-2. Goalie Michael Leighton made 98 saves for the River Rats.

When asked about the loss, Leighton said “are you f-ing kidding me man? dude, these guys suck, period. Just get me one of the ice mice. Me and the boys are taking turns tonight.”

Who are the Ice Mice you might ask? Find out…
