5 Types of Fans You See at a Little League Game

Published by under Editorial

Well, it’s baseball season folks!   But I’m not just talking about the Major Leagues here.  I’m talking about leagues everywhere from little tiny toddlers up through the big boys.  And one of my favorite things to do in the warm weather is head to the ball game.

And when I’m not going to Yankees Stadium I’m headed out to watch my nephew knock the ball around.  He’s 9 so it’s fun to watch the little leaguers get out there.   But if there’s one thing to notice going to these games, it’s the people in the stands.

Speaking of which, here are five types of fans you see at little league games….

Five Characters (Real and Fake) That We’d “Party” With

Published by under Editorial

It’s 420, which to some of you means a lot, and to others, well, not so much. For those who don’t know what it is, go look it up on Google, and accept our apology for being completely socially awkward.

Now that that’s out of the way, we want to preface this post with the fact that we don’t partake in such activities. We’ve obviously participated in a fair share – that’s what college and a couple trips to Amsterdam will do to you – but as for on a regular basis, we typically stick to our tequila to get our thrills.

Since we can’t just embed a Pink Floyd video for you to watch and listen to all day, we figured the next best thing was deciding the organically appreciative characters that we wouldn’t mind “rolling” with. We all know that Snoop is typically the head Baker in this type of kitchen, but since he’s a little out of our league, we chose some folks that we thought would be just as chill.

Sleep Problems? Be Glad You Don’t Have These Five

Published by under Editorial

To be perfectly honest sleeping is one of my favorite things to do.   It’s the only time of day where I’m truly free.   It’s a time where my mind can wander off and I don’t have to deal with the reality of the world.   I guess that’s why I along with most people can’t stand getting up.   It’s just too good to sleep.

But not for everyone.   Some people suffer some serious problems with their sleeping patterns and you kind of have to feel for them.

Check out five sleeping disorders you don’t want to have…..

Workout Classes That Are (And Aren’t) Acceptable For Dudes

Published by under Editorial

A couple years ago, our now ex-girlfriend got us started on this whole workout class thing. It’s not as if it was something new, but we always pictured our Mom going to a damn aerobics class when we were younger as the bearing for never wanting to go.

After succumbing to the pressure and doing a spin class with her, we officially got hooked, and now make sure we go at least twice a week. People say the classes are “so much more challenging” than just going for a 5-mile run – which is probably true. But to be honest, we only go for the girls. When you’re batting three dudes to 25 in-shape chicks, wearing black stretchy pants, it’s the way to workout.

Now that we’re on-board, there’s always questions about which ones are okay to be seen at, and which ones might be stretching your femininity a little bit too much. Since we know there’s some we really don’t want to be part of, here are the ones you can break a sweat at, and some you just never want to be seen in.

5 Personal Production Challenges You Should Try on Your Own

Published by under Editorial

In the business I run I have a partner.   And when you work with a partner who you’re not directly sitting next to, sometimes it’s easy to get wrapped up talking on the phone, sending instant messages or sending emails that aren’t really necessary.

In fact this could be with anyone in the entire world, not just a business partner.   It’s incredibly easy to get distracted from work simply because we want to be distracted.  Hell anything but do work right?

Here’s the thing about work and it’s something I believe.   In the corporate world, in an eight hour day most people really don’t have much more than 2-3 hours of real work to do.  Hell I’ve been there.   But rather than spread it out over the course of the day and find ways to kill time, how about just getting it out of the way?

If you want to be more productive here are five challenges you can pose to yourself throughout the day.  Wait until you see how much you get done if you can follow any of these…..

Phases of an All-Nighter

Published by under Editorial

No one, and we mean not a soul on the planet, likes to pull an all-nighter in order to cram weeks of info into one night. When you combine hot coeds at the library, a hangover from the weekend activities, and the hated exhaustion at 3am, things can get pretty dicey on actually retaining what you’re doing.

But because every college kid will have night’s of falling asleep face first in a book or on a keyboard, we wanted to give you some warning signs to help you avoid zonking out. It’s bad to sleep and miss out on studying, but it’d be worse to completely sleep through the exam or deadline – so take these as a sign to grab a 5-Hour Energy should you get a bit groggy.

With Finals not too far away, it’s impossible to avoid pulling one of these things, but be prepared to at least attempt it, and you may actually pass the exam you’re studying for in the first place!

6 Awesome Failed Penalty Kicks in Soccer

Published by under Editorial,Soccer,Sports

I’ve never been the biggest fan of watching soccer.   Funny because it’s a really fun sport to play.   However watching it can be torture.   Personally I need a little bit of scoring in the sports that I watch.

The reason soccer is so fun to play is because there’s that off chance you’ll be the guy scoring (even if you’re on defense it can happen) or you’ll be the goalie who makes the heroic save.

Speaking of heroic saves, you will not see that here.   Check out these great failed penalty kicks….

Best Things About Growing a Beard

Published by under Editorial

As if we really need to list more reasons why growing a beard is one of the greatest advantages a dude has over a girl, we just had to go there. With the NHL Playoffs starting this past weekend, and one of the many quirky superstitions those crazy ice skating dudes have is growing a lucky playoff beard, it only made sense to us.

Now we need to give a disclaimer here that this isn’t at all supposed to be read as a grooming guide to a proper beard. We’re not at all talking about the nicely trimmed, ready to score some ass beard. The beards we love are the ones that you just decide to never bother with. The James Harden beards. The Rick Ross beards. And yes, dare we say, the Grizzly Adams beards.

For all those guys out there that sometimes just need to give their face a vacation from shaving for two to three months, this is an article for you. We support your decision, and fully support each and every one of those little hairs on your face.

5 Acceptable Times to Get Drunk If You’re Over 30

Published by under Editorial

I probably lean to the extreme on this topic but if I’m honest with myself and all of you, my desire to drink alcohol has dwindled to practically zero in the 10 plus years it’s been since I’ve graduated.

Since the age of 17 drinking had been a valued part of my life.  Hell it was probably the cornerstone of all social activity until about the age of 25.   Now when I think about drinking it nearly makes me nauseous.   My rationale is quite simple.  A few hours of fun is never worth the now three days it takes to recover.

However, that’s not to say I don’t tie one on every now and then.   And I’m actually encouraging folks to let loose every once in a while.  However, once you reach 30 it’s kind of pointless to just drink for the sake of drinking like we did in the younger days.

Here are five acceptable times to get drunk over the age of 30…..
