Like the aforementioned Mayweather, Gretzky might not have been the biggest guy in the world—he was just 6’—but he was so much better and smarter than his opponents, that it had to be frustrating trying to plan for him. Hell, when a guy is nicknamed “The Great One,” that usually means he has the respect of every single person he comes across who knows about the sport, so Gretzky might not have intimidated with physical strength or height, but his overall skill is what separated him from the rest.
