The Most Intimidating Athletes of the Past 25 Years

The 2013 ESPY Awards - Show

No joke, while bored out of our mind and watching the ’90s flick Little Big League a few days ago, it came to us that Randy Johnson was one intimidating dude. Standing at 6’10” and possessing a high-90s fastball with a unpredictable, killer slider, “The Big Unit” was both dominant and terrifying for any batter. That’s why we’re giving you a few other athletes from the past few decades who strike fear in their opposition at just the sight of them.

6. Adrian Peterson, NFL

He may be someone who has burst onto the scene in the past decade, but make no mistake that the Vikings Adrian Peterson has already proven himself to be an all-timer. Besides coming just a few yards of breaking the all-time single-season rushing mark in the 2012 season, Peterson is a chiseled beast, who is faster, stronger and more powerful than anyone on the field. Most secondary players hate tackling running backs, but we’re guessing defensive lineman and linebackers are even afraid of seeing “AD” in the open field.
