The 10 Best Soccer Movies in History

Premiere Of Warner Bros. Pictures And Legendary Pictures' "Pacific Rim" - Arrivals

Green Street Hooligans

Green Street Hooligans is my personal favorite soccer movie, and I also truly believe that it’s one of the best soccer movies ever made. Even though it borrows heavily from movies like The FirmGreen Street works as a story of brotherhood, passion, and family all in its own right thanks to the fantastic performances from the likes of Charlie Hunnam (with a buzz cut and clean shaven, before his Sons of Anarchy days) and Elijah Wood (doing better acting than he ever did in any of the Lord of the Rings films). While it’s gritty, bloody, and violent, Green Street Hooligans is also heartfelt and inspiring. I put it down as one of the best soccer movies of all time because it shows us what soccer, and all sports really, are all about: not backing down from an an opponent and always giving it your all. How could you argue with that?
