Top Ten Best Movies Directed by Clint Eastwood

AFI FEST 2011 Presented By Audi - "J. Edgar" Opening Night Gala - Red Carpet

7. Invictus

Continuing to show Eastwood’s fascination with directing nonfiction, “true story” films, his 2009 film, Invictus, shows how Nelson Mandela and the South African rugby team worked together to try to unite the country during the 1995 World Cup tournament. Invictus features some Oscar-worthy directing by Eastwood, who gets to work with top actors like Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon, who both do splendid work. Although Invictus is often a forgotten film for many when it comes to Eastwood, it shouldn’t be.
