Top Ten Best Clint Eastwood Movies of All-Time

12th Annual AFI Awards - Reception

8. In the Line of Fire

In the Line of Fire is a pure thriller from start to finish, and when you have Clint Eastwood and John Malkovich acting off each other, it takes your typical “good” thriller and turns into something great. Eastwood plays secret service agent Frank Horrigan, a man haunted by the fact that he was one of the agents who allowed for JFK to be assassinated. Now, as Malkovich’s Mitch Leary plans to assassinate the current president, Horrigan must not only accept his past but deal with the threats of the present if he hopes for history to not repeat itself.
