The Most Popular Songs About New York

Billy Crystal Presents: The Milt Gabler Story

“Autumn in New York” – Billie Holiday

Sometimes you can’t get much better than Billie Holday and this is one of those times. The jazzy melody of “Autumn in New York,” along with her deep, raspy, and soulful voice, produce a slow, soft, and romantic song that is as inviting as the autumn it discusses in the lyrics. Honestly, I listen to this song and all I want to do is grab the most beautiful girl in the world, go stand in Central Park or on a street corner in Manhattan, and just slow dance in the bathing lights of the New York City night. That’s the power of this song – it literally makes you envision your own movie scene.
