Five Things The Miami Heat Should Not Do in the Offseason

Chicago Bulls v New York Knicks

Sign Carmelo Anthony

I know this will probably be my most controversial recommendation, but I don’t think the Heat should sign Carmelo Anthony this offseason. Not because Anthony isn’t an excellent player and not because I think having Bosh, Lebron, Wayne, and Carmelo all on the same team would “ruin the NBA.” I mainly am against this because I think the Heat would wind up paying too much money for yet another superstar NBA player instead of focusing on the other areas of the team (the bench, starting center, etc.) that also need improvement. Plus, while the Big Three have won two NBA titles together, does anyone really think throwing another big name, big personality type player into this offense is really going to be the real solution to the Miami Heat’s problems?
