A Day’s Work Ruined is the Internet’s Newest Trend

Day's Work 3

So there’s a new trend out there on the internet which is pretty funny if you have a dark, sort of twisted sense of humor (spoiler alert: I kind of do). It’s called “A Day’s Work Ruined,” and it involves people posting online (mostly on Reddit) photos of some very messed up vehicles. Either these cars, bikes, etc. have fallen into potholes, been smashed into by huge trucks, or are somehow otherwise immobilized.

Even though I don’t know a whole lot about this trend, I assume it get its name, “A Day’s Work Ruined,” from assuming that all these people were on their way to work when this happened, and that these extreme incidents of bad luck would kind of make it tough for them to a get into the office and in order to have a productive day at their job. Mostly, though, I just hope that anyone and everyone involved with these pictures and this trend is physically okay, even if they are most likely a complete and total mental wreck (I know I would be one).

While it’s kind of cruel to take pleasure in the misfortune of others, I don’t really see that way. This new trend, to me, is the type of thing really reinforces that idea of “If you think you’re having a bad day, someone else out there is having a much worse one.” This probably isn’t the typical reaction to these kinds of pictures, but I take it as a challenge to keep being positive throughout the day and to focus on the little things that make you happy because there are an abundance of really bad things that could possibly happen.

Check out some of the photos for yourself below (even cops aren’t exempt from this trend).
