Twitter Declares Carmelo Anthony Joining the Heat Would Ruin the NBA

Chicago Bulls v New York Knicks

So what you would say if the Big Three in Miami suddenly became the Big Four? There are now reports that the Miami Heat are going to try to sign free agent Carmelo Anthony this summer, and Twitter has already declared that Anthony joining the Heat would be the worst thing to hapeen ever, that it would guarantee he Heat another NBA title and that it would ruin the NBA all together. Read what people are saying below.

According to ESPN.com’s Brian Windhorst and Marc Stein:

Sources told ESPN.com that Heat officials and the team’s leading players have already started to explore their options for creating sufficient financial flexibility to make an ambitious run at adding New York Knicks scoring machine Carmelo Anthony this summer in free agency.

You read that right. Lebron James, Dwayne Wayde, and Chris Bosh would all reportedly be willing to take pay cuts if it meant that the Heat would be able to sign Carmelo Anthony. If this is true, it might be a game-changer, especially because it has been widely reported that Anthony very much wants to play with Lebron.

Carmelo Anthony averaged 27.4 points and 8.1 rebounds this season. If he was to join Miami, his contributions could make the already great basketball team even better next season. And that’s a scary thought for anyone who’s not a Heat fan.
