New Star Wars Episode VII Photos Show Millennium Falcon

"Star Wars: In Concert" At The Orleans Arena In Las Vegas

I’m one of the many Star Wars fans that I know that is approaching the new Star Wars film, Episode VII, with cautious optimism. JJ Abrams is directing it, the new cast is looking pretty stellar, and I mean, honestly, we can’t get any worse than the prequels, right? Now, just released today, we have new Star Wars Episode VII photos, and what makes them really awesome is that they are of the Millennium Falcon.

I’m still not sure how I feel about Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher returning for the new Star Wars sequel. I really would love to be able to remember Han, Luke, and Leia the way they were in Return of the Jedi rather than seeming them trotted out as cranky, wrinkly, old folks now (just look at Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull if you think I’m wrong). Sometimes it’s better to just start fresh with new people and in no way tarnish the memories of the original cast and trilogy.

However, I have to say, if having Ford, Hamill, and Fisher back ensures that we’ll see the Falcon again in all its rusted, beat up glory than I might be more inclined to have them in the film. I just hope that Abrams and company aren’t going to try to make Han into this old, has-been of a pilot that’s still looking to reclaim his younger years. I much rather see him teaching his and Leia’s kid/kids (Son? Daughter? One of each, maybe?) the ropes than trying to still do it himself.

Check out the pictures down below (which also feature an X-Wing!) and let us know what you think of them and if you’re excited (or not excited) for Star Wars Episode VII.
