It’d be easy to call Babe Ruth tough because he hit over 700 home runs or because he was incredibly hungover while playing most of those games. However, what makes the Great Bambino not just one of the game’s greatest players but one of its toughest is his fortitude to switch from pitcher to outfielder and his success at both of those positions. It’s not easy to be good at just one position in baseball. To be not just good but great at two different positions? Well, hey, that takes something special.
