Ever since I can remember, baseball has been my favorite sport. I’m from Philly so the Phillies are my hometown team, Chase Utley is my all-time favorite player, and The Sandlot is my favorite movie. I still remember wanting be as cool as Benny and all the other kids were in that movie, but most of the time I ended up feeling like Smalls.
This new video from this Saturday’s Blue Jays/Rangers game in Texas, though, shows us a kid so cool that even the guys from The Sandlot would be following him. After being tossed a foul ball, the young fan makes a quick switcheroo between the foul ball that he just got and the ball he already had in his glove. He then turns around and gives the fake, decoy ball to the cute girls sitting behind him, who all go, “Aw” and fawn over how cute and sweet he is.
I’ve never seen anything like this in my life, and I don’t know if I ever will again. The cleverness and audacity of this kid is just so awesome that it’s indescribable, or as we like to say, uncoached. He’s definitely a stud in the making.
Like I said above, I’m a huge baseball fan who tries to at least watch one game every day, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen something this great happen during a game ever This is better than any home run hit or catch a fielder can make. Watch the video below and check it out for yourself. I think you just might have to agree with me.
