British musician David Palmer is rapping against environmental destruction, but his efforts to save Mother Earth are getting him dragged through the dirt. Palmer records environmentally conscious hip hop under the name “Dave In Charge.” Palmer released his biggest “hit,” “Habitat,” in March on YouTube. It’s been viewed more than 135,000 times and received a slew of media coverage. So far, the collective response to his flow can be summed up in three words: Worst. Rapper. Ever.
As Dave says: The media is overstating what it means to be the grandson of a Lord. I am not rich, didn’t go to private school and I am quite down to earth… read my lyrics! Thanks for the comments. Share and enjoy
Well we’re not going to take to the comments but I have to admit that getting through 50 seconds of this video is really really hard. If you sit back and listen to how incredibly boring his voice is, you might just laugh. But good or bad, the video is garnering plenty of attention, which is really the point no?
And just in case you are wondering, yes, Dave has another video about Valentine’s day. It’s pretty bad as well but we’ll spare you that one and only share the “Habitat” clip:
