We all know how awful the feeling is when we misplace something, freaking out that we’ve just lost it for good. But an even worse feeling is when you know that you’ve put something somewhere and when you go back to get it, poof, it’s gone.
Rather than losing it on your own, after a little investigation, it’s determined that someone stole from you, leaving you with a feeling of both rage and disgust.
While it happens on occasion, don’t fret that you’re the only one who experiences it, because here are a few athletes who have been the victim of a robbing before—and there stuff isn’t cheap.
5. Eddy Curry, NBA
Back in 2007, oft-injured—and current free agent—Eddy Curry wasn’t just robbed at gunpoint in his Chicago home of all places. But it also happened with his family there to be held up—making it terrifying.
With three robbers entering his home and duct taping him and his family up, the burglars made out with cash and jewelry worth roughly $10,000.
Police believe that the millionaire was a target for his money and fame, which, seems obvious seeing how he had that type of loot just laying around his place.
