While this weekend might be miserable without the excitement that playoff football brought us the past few weeks, every fans attention is squarely on the Super Bowl matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos.
With tons of talk set to happen in just a few days as the two squads make their way to New York, there will be plenty of discussion around game plans and which players will need to step up.
But which things might be the x-factors that could give one team an edge? That’s what we’re tackling today.
5. Big Plays
With the Broncos featuring one of the most prolific offenses in NFL history, and the Seahawks stable in their efforts to defend—each team was No. 1 in their specific categories—this could become a game in which just one busted coverage is the turning point in deciding the winner and loser.
Denver QB Peyton Manning has a bevy of talented wideouts and tight ends to toss the ball to, so it will be interesting to see how Seattle’s vaunted “Legion of Boom” handles the air raid.
Should they put the kibosh on it and create a few turnovers, they may be the ones lifting the Lombardi Trophy.
