As is the case every year, sports fans are always blessed with seeing breakout performances that introduce new athletes to us.

Just as last year gave us Jameis Winston of Florida State and Yasiel Puig, this year should be no different in some unknown guys becoming household names.

That’s why we’re sharing our guesses for which athletes will completely blow up this year—so get ready for them to take over.

6. Josh Gordon

Cleveland Browns v Minnesota Vikings

For all you football fans out there who have no reason to ever watch a Cleveland Browns game—and there’s plenty of you out there—let us remind you about the team’s wideout, Josh Gordon.

As a Browns fan, it may be painful to watch the team struggle on the field each week, but if watching Gordon play is just about as exciting as seeing Calvin Johnson out there.

That might be a bold statement to make, but blessed with similar size, strength and speed, Gordon can become the next feared receiver in the game—assuming he stays out of trouble—and build off of his league-leading receiving numbers of 2013.
