Published by at 8:00 am under Editorial

With the national title game being played tonight between the Auburn Tigers and Florida State Seminoles, we really hope that you’ve got your night cleared and the pizza already set to be ordered, because it should be quite entertaining.

Whether you’re a fan of either team or not, it’s a national title game, so we’d hope that you’re tuning in.

But with every other game played but one, we thought about the games that we really hope you didn’t miss sitting in front of your TV for.

That’s why we’re giving you our personal favorites, and recommend you trying to watch in their entirety should it be played on ESPN Classic or something.

5. Alabama-Oklahoma

Allstate Sugar Bowl - Oklahoma v Alabama

In a showdown that featured the two-time defending national champs against one of the most prestigious in college football, this Sugar Bowl definitely didn’t disappoint—unless you love the Tide.

Favored by two touchdowns, Crimson Tide fans saw a season in which they were No. 1 in the country most of the year end on a sour note with two-straight losses—matching the two previous seasons’ totals.

The Sooners sacked A.J. McCarron seven times, and used a little-known passer of their own to rise up and upset Alabama in a game that had its fair share of big plays.
