6 Former Heisman Winners Who Flopped in the NFL

Published by at 8:00 am under Editorial

5. Archie Griffin, Ohio State

The only two-time Heisman winner, Griffin may have his name in the record books for what he did in Columbus, but looking at his NFL stats, you’d be shocked that this guy has two bronze statues on his mantel.

Rushing for just 2,808 yards with 13 total TDs in his seven seasons, his NFL career ended in 1981 due to inconsistency with the Bengals, in which he rushed for 100 yards in only three games.

That’s definitely not the way many believed his career would end up going.
