As you probably heard last week, the Seattle Mariners tossed a boatload of money at former Yankees second baseman, Robinson Cano, making the five-time All-Star one of the top-paid players in any sport.

It got us thinking—who could possibly be next?

That led us to this list, with five guys who will find themselves earning a hefty paycheck in the not-so-distant future.

Simply put, these two have let the Blackhawks to two Stanley Cup titles in the past five seasons, with both becoming two of the most emerging stars in the entire league.

As CBS Sports put it, they could easily both pass the $10 million a season mark, which may mean they price themselves out of the Windy City.

With Kane the reigning Conn Smythe Trophy winner after last year’s playoff performance, and Toews the team’s Captain, you better believe they hope these two somehow sign those mega-deals in Chicago.
