4. Josh Hamilton


Well, that didn’t work out the way the Los Angels Angels of Anaheim had hoped it would, did it?

After earning five-straight All-Star Game nods in his five years in Texas—including one league MVP award in 2010—Josh Hamilton’s numbers dipped big time in his first season in the sunshine of SoCal.

Hoping to have a potent lineup by putting J-Ham in-between other sluggers Albert Pujols and Mike Trout, Hamilton batted only .250, cranking just 21 homers and 79 RBI.

Not bad numbers. But not $25 million a year-type numbers either.
