Is it wrong of us to be under the impression that you’ve probably heard some rumors going around about where LeBron James—AKA, the best basketball player in the world—might be headed next season should he opt out of his current contract as expected?
Assuming you’ve been keeping an eye on things, you’re probably aware that his former team, the Cleveland Cavs, are on the list of potential suitors.
Well after hosting “The King” and his teammates the night before Thanksgiving last week, we thought it be appropriate to pull the plug on the whole “LeBron back to Cleveland” idea—sorry, Cavs fans.
5. His Comfort Level
Although one would think that someone would be the most comfortable in a place close to where they grew up, we think that the allure of playing at home is long gone for James.
Just look at the way he gets along with his teammates, creating an atmosphere much like his high school days when his best friends were hanging out, laughing, winning and easing any pressure on themselves.
His relationship with his head coach Erik Spoelstra and other front office folks—namely, Pat Riley—is one that is just too strong to see him leaving behind.
