If there’s one thing that’s always kind of awkward, it’s when you either borrow or lend cash to a friend of yours.
Not one to usually stir up controversyâ€”even though it’s absolutely acceptable if the borrow’s lent or given outâ€”we tend to wait until they say something to address the payment.
That can be a good and bad thing, but one thing’s for sure, it’s a terrible situation to talk about.
But since it’s bound to happen at different points in your life, here are the appropriate times to actually ask for it, and when it’s not OK.
8. OK: After a Fight
If you get into it with one of your buddies, it might be a good time to make sure you get that money you lent him for rent a few months ago back like, now.
You all may have laid into each other and said some things you either meant or regret, but regardless if you salvage the friendship or not, don’t be a moron in thinking things will be OK, and cop that check.
