With NFL Free Agency starting next Tuesday, we’re sure that both front office’s and fans have their top guys circled on something resembling an early Christmas list.

Last week we gave you the top offensive players to look for who will leave an impact on the NFL offseason, and this week we’ll see what hard-hitters on the defensive side can do the same.

8. Brent Grimes – Denver Broncos

Grimes is an interesting dilemma because he’s coming off surgery on his Achilles last year, but if he’s healthy, a team will be getting quite a steal.

We think that team will be the Broncos, who would be scary could on the outside with Grimes and future Hall of Fame CB Champ Bailey lining-up there.

The former Falcon probably won’t cash it in this year—instead needing to prove he’s worthy of a long-term deal—so look for him to sign a one or two-year contract in the Mile High City.
