As most of us know, the NFL season never really stops.
Street cleaners in Baltimore are still sweeping up some of the confetti from the Ravens Super Bowl celebration, yet we’ve all mostly moved on to watch the NFL Combine and talking about next year’s top contenders.
In the age of social media, that’s how it goes though, which is why we’re tossing our opinion into the mix by predicting where the top Free Agents are going to land starting on March 12.
Who knows other players that will get cut before then, but as it stands now, here’s where we think some of these guys will end up.
8. Jake Long – St. Louis Rams
The former No. 1 overall pick is absolutely a cornerstone offensive tackle in this league, garnering four-straight Pro Bowl selections since coming into the league.
Problem is, the Fins may not want to pay him the more than $15 million he’d be owned by franchising him, meaning he’ll surely depart South Beach.
That’s where the Rams come in, who has some money to spend and a franchise QB in Sam Bradford who they need to keep upright, which is clearly Long’s specialty when assigned to protect his blindside.
