The 8 Most Underappreciated Athletes in Sports Right Now

After watching thousands—maybe even millions—of hours worth of sports, we often marvel at some of the most well-known athletes on the planet.
Deservedly so, guys like Kobe and Tom Brady get brought up around the bar, but what about the other athletes who have had just as much success—if not more—and never even cross our minds?
This is for those guys. The future Hall of Famers who are often overlooked when putting together a Dream Team.
8. Frank Gore – San Francisco 49ers

During his time in San Fran, Gore’s seen it all.
He’s been on team’s that boasted top-5 picks, and finally saw the team earn a Super Bowl berth this past season.
The RB’s been the one staple week in and out, tallying six 1,000-yard seasons in his eight-year career, proving he’s the workhorse that helps wear down defenses in the Bay Area.
Even More Uncoachable Stuff

Filpulla…now I can understand putting him there, but Hudler plays for Calgary and have you ever heard of Pavel Dastyuk, the best player on the Red Wings and arguably the best in the NHL? Don’t give hockey a token mention if you’re just going to screw up the facts
On second thought, this list looks like it wasn’t drafted by a real sports fan. Schaub is a mediocre qb, Parker is far from undervalued and Beltre hasn’t been anything special for years
