You may not know it, but this piece of rock that stands 1,267 feet above the surrounding landscape was actually dubbed the first national landmark by former President Teddy Roosevelt.
It’s insane up close, giving tourists an opportunity to see why it’s such an incredible attraction, and even allowing rock climbers the chance to scale it for the view of a lifetime from the top.
