If you’re a baseball fan, hell, a sports fan in general, you probably know that Spring Training is finally here!
And though it’s tough to really tell our excitement through writing, we must tell you we’re pumped to have America’s Pastime back in full swing—see what we did there?
As with every new season comes new questions. That’s why we’re giving you 10 teams to keep a close eye on heading into the spring, so let’s see if they can find themselves as contenders towards the end of the year.
Boston Red Sox
After a miserable season in Fenway last year under since-fired manager Bobby Valentine, the BoSox are looking to rebound with a similar approach to how they won their World Series titles in ’04 and ’07.
Instead of outbidding everyone this offseason, they’re going to rely on a good mix of vets and young guys, while building through the organization.
New skipper John Farrell was the pitching coach on those two title teams, so we’ll see if he can keep things organized in the clubhouse to make a run again this year.
