Playing in the shadow of the mighty Men of Troy in Los Angeles, the Bruins had always seemed to talk a much bigger game than they showed—until this past year anyway.

They stumbled to a 9-5 record by losing their last three, including a lackluster Holiday Bowl performance against Baylor, but if they want to try and win big again, they need to first scoop the talent around them, which they did this year.
