Here’s the thing with this kid…. He’s either going to be the CEO of a Fortune 500 company when he grows up or he’s going to be serving life in prison. It’s that simple. The kid is an innovator, he’s bold, he has the make-up for great things. He also has the potential to set the world on fire.

It’s probably a little hard to admit, but we’re not always right. If you’re trying to convince yourself otherwise, there’s a lie to add to this list.

While most of us claim we have it all figured out, the truth is we just have no idea. No matter how set we are in our ways, there’s always something that throws a curveball that just has to complicate things.

Whether it’s an ex deciding she wants to give it another go, or a roommate wanting to split town before the ink on the year-long lease even dries, things will never be perfect.

If you’re like us, the one thing we try to control is our decisions, but even that takes a lot of work. Without regard to feelings—both good and bad or yours or others—here are the things we tend to tell ourselves, even though deep down there’s no way they’re true.

Oh well, deal with it pal, like we said, nothing will ever be perfect!
