Some argue that Stabler earns a look for a spot in Canton, but even though he won a league MVP in his career, he still was pretty inconsistent over the long haul.
In his Super Bowl year, “The Snake” benefitted from a punishing offensive line featuring Hall of Famers Art Shell and Gene Upshaw who helped keep the passer upright to find stud wideouts Cliff Branch and Fred Biletnikoff.
