Mikhail Bopposov, a cattle farmer from the Siberian republic of Yakutia, Russia, constructed a giant cobra with 880 pounds of frozen cow dung, Ria Novosti reported. And he did it all for the kids. The structure, on display to celebrate the Chinese calendar’s Year of the Snake, was created so the small village’s children could “play around and have some fun,” Bopposov said. The 52-year-old father used spare dung, known as “balbalkh,” from his 17 cattle. But this wasn’t his first go at dung sculpting. In 2008, inspired by his military service, Bopposov crafted a dung tank, and last year, he made a “winged serpent” for the Year of the Dragon.
No joke.. This is an awesome sculpture. The fact that it’s made out of frozen poo just makes it all the more special. If I could go back in time I would move to a cold climate and sculpt things out of sh%t that would then scare the living sh$t out of kids. I can see all the parents in this town going, “Come on little Joey let’s go look at the Cobra made of sh$t tonight!” Alright I’m done.
